This week, you will be reviewing the sentence in general. Each day, you will review the lesson listed and do the worksheet page for that day. Lessons will be listed according to accompanying worksheet page number as two different textbooks are being used together in this course. The textbook to be used this week is Hyde's Advanced Lessons in English (here referred to as ALE). Definitions: Sentence- A group of words that expresses a complete thought. Declarative sentence- A sentence that tells (declares) something or makes a statement. Interrogatory sentence- A sentence used to interrogate or ask a question. Imperative sentence- A request or command that is imperative for you to do. Exclamatory sentence- A sentence that exclaims- shows strong feelings like surprise, excitement, anger, etc. Subject- tells what the sentence is about. Predicate- tells what the subject does or is.
